More Than Ice Baths and Weight Loss

Take a little virtual ride with me at our trail riding facility in Missouri called Von Holten Ranch. 

The land has been in the same family since 1906.  We became the fourth generation to purchase it in 2013.  When we moved here, the land had not been lived on since 1979.

A lot of people tuned into the show Yellowstone.  Having a generational ranch doesn’t look like that. 

When you have people who went through the Great Depression, they didn’t get rid of anything.  When I tell our story, I always say, “It’s easier to give birth than to raise the dead.  Well, we have to raise the dead and then give birth”. 

Every vehicle they had was still there with trees growing through them, every jar, every tire.  There were eight buildings, but seven had to be taken down for safety.  The one building that remains was the old chicken house.

You probably found my page from me doing ice baths and trying to lose weight.  That journey is just a tiny glimpse into my life. 

I also own an equine and homesteading magazine called Country Tough Times that are mailed out every other month.  It hs currently made it to 21 states and is growing. 

It’s a beautiful Country Tough day, babydoll, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
